Luang Prabang, the former capitol of Laos, was once a regional center of Buddhism. The temples in this UNESCO World Heritage site are among the most sophisticated in Southeast Asia. At dawn you can hear the chanting of Buddhist nuns drifting from monasteries, followed by the chanting of Buddhist monks. In this vignette a woman walking through the old town shields herself from the midday sun .
This painting looks soft and suede-like if I could touch it. Appealing shades and tones.
